Day 12 - Sand Springs, OK

Not a lot to report today.  Had a little over a 3 hour drive.  Doug went to Planet Fitness and I did laundry.

The excitement we had was when we got to our site at Pleasant Valley Farms the slide wouldn't extend.  If it doesn't extend we can't sleep in the bed.  After 3 different people, Doug finally had someone to talk him through all different things to try.  As it turns out, there was some switch in one of the outside storage cabinets that had flipped to off or something.  We never would have thought to look there.  All is well and tonight we will sleep in the bed.  Oh the wonderful world of RV ownership!

Fun Facts:

- Oklahoma has the largest Native American population of any state in the U.S,

- The highest wind speed ever recorded on earth was in Moore Okla., on May 3, 1999 during the Oklahoma City F-5 tornado. Wind speed was clocked at 318 mph.

- Oklahoma ranks 2nd in the nation for the number of beef cows (behind Texas).

- Roughly 91% of beef farms in Oklahoma are family-owned and operated and there are more cattle in Oklahoma than there are human residents
