Day 10 - St. Louis, MO

BEST DAY SO FAR!  If you know me you know I kept talking about wanting to see the biggest frying pan, ball of twine, whatever.  Well today I hit the jackpot in Casey, IL.  They have more than a dozen Guinness world records for the largest . . . . We saw the largest deer antlers, largest chimes, largest bird cage, largest teeter totter, largest “working” mailbox, largest knitting needles, largest pitchfork, largest barbershop pole, largest golf tee, largest pencil and largest ruler.  The real interesting part is that many of them have scripture written on them. Such as the ruler:  For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged and with the same measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Oh yeah and we also went to the Gateway Arch in St. Louis.

Just kidding.  It was crazy to be in this pod and go up 630 feet to the top and look down on the city.

Fun Facts:

- The Gateway Arch is 630 feet tall and 630 feet wide.

- The Gateway Arch is designed to withstand earthquake and lightening strikes and designed to sway up to 18 inches in 150 mile per hour winds.

- Construction on the Gateway Arch began on February 12, 1963 and the final piece was put in place on October 28, 1965.
