Day 1 - Freehold, NJ

We left today and are headed to Salisbury, MD with a stop in Freehold, NJ at Turkey Swamp Campground.  In the RV world there’s the rule of 3-3-3: Don’t drive more than 3 hours, Arrive by 3pm and Stay 3 Days. Most cases we won’t be staying 3 days but definitely like the 3 hours/3pm.

We unfortunately did not adhere to the rules since we started out at 12:30 and therefore hit NYC at rush hour.  What should have taken us 4 1/2 hours took 6 1/2 hours.

Interesting rule. Why arrive by 3? Can you respond to our questions on here?

Now that you are on the road, heading West…what’s your home address again? I need a place to squat. 🤣

I know you guys love to listen to music while on the road, but I’m listening to an audiobook that I think you both might enjoy. It takes place in Rhode Island and mentions so many familiar places: TF Green, Barrington, Roger Williams Park, Hasbro, and so many other places you would recognize. It is by Jodie Peacoult and titled Hollow Bones.
